Letter #6

Fridays are for Kanchivarams.

This week, I asked myself a simple question.

If I could wear a Kanchivaram beyond weddings and celebrations, where would I take it?

Living in the U.S., I don’t have many traditional occasions. So I’ve stopped waiting for them.

I’d happily wear one for a coffee conversation, a visit to the library, or dinner with family and friends.

When I do, I’m always drawn to timeless Kanchivarams—beautiful korvai contrasts, classic color combinations, and traditional motifs. They don’t need to be loud to leave an impression.

This week’s magenta and teal green korvai is exactly that: simple, elegant, and quietly sophisticated. It’s the kind of Kanchivaram I’d wear anywhere.

Where would you take yours?

Until the next letter,

Until Next Letter

Love,
Vidhya Raghunathan
